About Us

Stress Reduction Association was created on the backbone of healthcare provider volunteers, who during the pandemic saw an immense gap in the mental health support provided to frontline workers. We started in 2020 by collecting donations from family and friends and used that to create 50 Stress Reduction Kits to give to COVID-19 hospital units in Edmonton. We are now a registered not-for-profit under the Societies Act and continue to offer stress reduction classes as well as Stress Reduction Kits to any frontline healthcare workers in Alberta supported through community donations and sponsorships. Attend a class, donate, or volunteer today!

Our Mission

Supporting Our Healthcare Workers

Promoting mental health practices and encouraging supportive work environments is an initiative the Non-Profit Stress Reduction Association has called into action. Our mission is to offer stress reduction strategies to mitigate the impact of burnout. Self-care and resiliency with an emphasis on gratitude is our focus. Taking care of yourself so that you may take care of others is our philosophy.
