About the Event

The Sweat Lodge Ceremony is a sacred space for prayer, healing, and community that strengthens one's connection with Ancestors, Spirit Guides, and Creator. The lodge is a dome-shaped structure where traditional stories are shared, and purification and healing take place through the use of Grandfathers (rocks), traditional medicines, and prayer songs. The Indigenous awareness purpose of the ceremony is to offer insight on traditions and culture as a way to work through Intergenerational Trauma, provide information on the Seven Sacred Teachings and the Medicine Wheel, and promote Truth and Reconciliation in a positive way. The ceremony welcomes all races and backgrounds who wish to participate.

Day 1: Virtual meet and greet. A 1-2hr description on how to prepare for the sweat lodge and what to expect.

Day 2: Sweat lodge ceremony. Meet at the grounds around 10am, door opens at 11am, day ends around 4pm.

Day 3: Virtual closing group. Focus group to discuss final thoughts and evaluations.

The lodge will be hosted by elders who have carried and passed down these teachings for generations. They are always open and inclusive to respectful individuals who wish to learn more about the way of the land.
